Brendan Nixon, DPT, Dry Needling II

Brendan is an experienced physical therapist who received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UMass Lowell in 2022, receiving an award for Clinical Excellence along the way. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from UMass Amherst. He has extensive training in exercise prescription, manual techniques, and is certified in dry needling. Brendan is experienced with a wide array of orthopedic & musculoskeletal diagnoses. He has a special interest in returning athletes and active adults to the activities they love. Brendan is also well-versed in treating clients who have otherwise struggled to find long term solutions for their injuries. He values getting to know each client and ensures that every client is heard, respected, and is pushed to be the best version of themselves.

In 2026, he decided to start Nixon Physical Therapy & Performance to allow for better care for his clients without the limitations that come with insurance based clinics. He has been working as a full time orthopedic physical therapist for the last 4 years and has returned hundreds of clients to a pain free life. He had the opportunity to spend 2 years working as a travel physical therapist which brought him to Bangor, Maine and Denver, Colorado. Now returning home to Central MA to further make a positive impact on every client he sees.

In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, Noelle, and his dog, Holly. He is a frequent gym goer and hobbyist runner. You can also find him spending time playing the guitar, golfing, and snowboarding.
